About Us
Dan Comstock is a seasoned researcher with over 15 years of experience providing advice and analysis to public and private sector leaders.
Comstock founded Rancho Research Group after serving as a threat and imminent risk analyst for Facebook, with a focus on U.S. elections. In this role he engaged with intelligence analyst counterparts throughout the company, worked to spot threat patterns, and researched emerging global trends.
Prior to his work at Facebook, Dan co-founded and helped manage M Street Insight, a highly successful and independent competitive intelligence firm. For almost eight years, he guided research operations for a wide variety of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, public relations firms, high-profile athletes, hedge fund executives, and top-tier presidential candidates.
Dan began his career conducting political research, serving as a senior research analyst for such entities as the Republican National Committee, National Republican Senatorial Committee, and John McCain for President.
Dan graduated from the University of Virginia and lives in Rancho Santa Fe, California, with his wife and three kids.
